Book Talk: Growing Up in a Frank Lloyd Wright House

This Live Event happened on January 31, 2019 (6:00pm - 7:00pm EST)

Kim Bixler recounts the joys and pitfalls of owning and living in a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed home. From 1977 to 1994, her family owned the Edward E. Boynton House, which was designed by Wright in 1908 and is located in Rochester, New York. Kim will discuss what it was like to live with the public’s curiosity about the building, play hide-and-seek within the house, and she will explain how her family managed the constant renovations needed during their time of ownership, when the house still contained more than a dozen pieces of original Wright-designed furniture.

After the presentation, Kim Bixler will be available to sign copies of her recent book Growing Up in a Frank Lloyd Wright House, which will be available for sale.
