Prefabricated construction is the process of designing, engineering, and assembling components for a building structure in a controlled facility away from the project site. Once assembled, components are transported to the project site for installation, resulting in greener, faster, and smarter construction. This method of construction is becoming more common in both new and renovation constructions. One element of prefabricated construction is Prefabricated EIFS-Clad Panel Assemblies. This type of wall assembly offers architects, engineers, general contractors, and building owners a building envelope wall that is aesthetically finished, lightweight, cost-effective, energy-efficient, and provides continuous insulation. And because they are prefabricated, they can dramatically enhance the speed of enclosure construction and extend the overall construction season. This course will introduce participants to the fundamentals of prefabricated walls, and detail the features, benefits, and design considerations of Prefabricated EIFS-Clad Wall Assemblies. Participants will also gain an understanding of the various Prefabricated EIFS-Clad Wall configurations and options available for enhanced durability and performance. Finally, participants will gain insight into the aesthetic freedom that Prefabricated EIFS-Clad Wall Assemblies provide.
