%PWind load is a critical determination when designing safe and effective overhead doors in today's built environment. This course identifies how wind and wind codes affect overhead doors. It will go into detail about the factors that influence the amount of force on these doors, as well as calculating PSF. It will help you to understand what is involved in the construction of sectional and coiling wind load doors, and will describe the types of wind load testing and procedures that are in place. Finally, it will provide knowledge of how wind load rated doors are specified, including the architect/component supplier relationship.
