  • Summarize the history of safe pedestrian lighting and discuss both the design challenges and opportunities involved in its design.
  • Define, and explain the connection between, MLP zoning and sustainable lighting.
  • List and describe the components of LED exterior lighting, CCT, CRI, and healthy lighting.
  • Apply knowledge of light distribution and BUG rating to assess appropriate lighting solutions.
  • Discuss current lighting technology, including lighting controls, MESH, and smart cities.
  • Explain keys issues of light pollution and discuss strategies to address and mitigate its impact.
