In the face of increasing extreme weather events, the design and construction industries are prioritizing resiliency—an essential focus for creating structures that withstand and recover from environmental challenges. One material that stands out for its durability and sustainability is terrazzo, a flooring option that not only enhances aesthetic appeal but also offers significant long-term benefits. It has limited construction waste, can be regionally sourced, and will survive for the life of the building with minimal maintenance. This course explores the inherent resilient and sustainable qualities of terrazzo along with its design versatility.
