This seminar will discuss state-of-the-art currently available forensic techniques for evaluating the integrity of roofing and waterproofing materials. The pros and cons of various moisture-detecting and integrity inspection technologies will be reviewed, including infrared thermography, nuclear interferometry and high and low-voltage vector mapping. This seminar will be useful to roofing and waterproofing contractors, consultants, specifiers, architects, engineers, building owners and facility and property managers.
Peter Brooks has over thirty years experience in nondestructive testing and has worked closely with hundreds of architects, engineers, consultants and contractors on projects for many Fortune 500 companies, performing infrared, nuclear, vector mapping, and electronic leak detection testing and analysis in a wide variety of built environments, from nuclear power plants to Lincoln Center. A nationally recognized expert in nondestructive testing, Mr. Brooks has trained thermographers at the national level and has written a number of articles on the technical and practical aspects of applied infrared thermography and electronic leak detection. He has delivered hundreds of presentations detailing the applications of nondestructive testing to firms, educational institutions, and trade associations.
