- Identify and apply key environmental, physical security and occupant safety factors addressed by high performance doors to building designs.
- Highlight contrasting benefits and limitations of conventional sectional and rolling steel doors to those of high-performance doors in terms of life-cycle, efficiency improvements, and building occupant safety features.
- Understand critical design features to successfully incorporate high-performance doors early on projects, for ideal coordination with structural, electrical and mechanical disciplines to avoid common application errors.
- Recognize innovative opportunities to incorporate high-performance doors within a variety of building types to improve efficiency in traffic flow, occupant safety, and environmental performance qualities.
