This seminar addresses the history and available technology of blindside waterproofing to prevent moisture transmission in new commercial construction. Attendees will be able to determine what type of blindside waterproofing system to use on various projects, gain tips for writing effective waterproofing and related specifications, and understand the relationship between design, material selection, and installation to avoid pitfalls and using the wrong material. Attendees will learn best practices for creating an effective blindside waterproofing installation to avoid building leaks that can lead to indoor air quality contamination, mold, and early building decay or even structural failure.
