Get It Together: Use IoT to Simplify Your Back-End Data Center Operations
Learning Objectives - After this course, you should be able to:
- Explore the benefits and limitations of local industrial communications, power management systems, emergency generator management systems, building management and HVAC systems, and DCIM.
- Describe software technology that will simplify monitoring and protection in your data center.
- Identify hardware advances that enable a simpler, yet integrated system.
- Explain the benefits of a digital power-train and control on data center operations.
As data centers have become increasingly more complex over the past few years, complex systems have evolved to run data centers. Systems may include power, energy and building management systems, as well as DCIM. This means gathering and interpreting data from disparate systems with proprietary protocols. There is a better way! Join us to learn about using smart- and micro- grid protocols to streamline your data center’s operations. We will review solutions that can result in a 90 percent reduction in control wiring. Discover benefits to drive savings for years by simplifying and flattening your monitoring and control system.
