In this course we will review the definition of High Performance Schools as defined by the U.S. EPA and the CHPS Criteria. Review principals of light, daylighting, and illustrate multiple skylight systems as tools for an effective lighting design strategy. The impact of daylight support circadian health and learning. The role of Indoor Air Quality, daylighting and passive air contributing Net Zero schools will be addressed.

Last, we will provide an overview of current innovations in high performance glazing that help ensure daylighting designs achieve set performance standards.
