The Project: “Time Will Tell” was part of the Public Art for Public Schools Program with the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs Percent for Art Program. The artwork was commissioned by the New York City Department of Education and the New York City School Construction Authority. The artist, Monika Bravo, was interested in the transformation of space: from landscape to cityscape, shaped first by nature through creeks, hills, marshes, and reshaped by migration, language, distance, and culture.
The Glass: This glass mural installation is ink on glass made of 14 panels each 120” x 48” long. The visual form is that of layered planes, similar to a hologram, the layers of information gathered by time, spaces divided by mind, places shaped by emotions and people.

The Project: The new Lincoln Center at David Geffen Hall, designed by Diamond Schmitt and Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects, was decades in the works but completed ahead of schedule and under budget since the pandemic forced the closure of Avery Fisher Hall. The first priority was to improve and revitalize the acoustics inside the main theater to make sure it was a best-in-class acoustic experience for the New York Philharmonic. What resulted is a completely new theater inside the building–not just a renovation–creating an intimate and inclusive experience for the audience.
The Glass: Everything in the building, from door handles to floorboards to railings, feels reassuringly solid. Over 8,700 square feet of flat and bent laminated glass railings and guardrails were fabricated, chemically strengthened for the tight 8” radii specified for the job. In addition, guardrail glass was added with a specially etched, low-iron laminated glass, finished with a digital design for an enhanced level of privacy and intimacy. Post-polishing of the laminated glass edgework created a refined look using a proven process.
