The COVID-19 pandemic has changed design expectations for commercial and public restrooms. As buildings reopen and design professionals ideate new projects, a restroom’s ability to support hygiene, health and wellness has emerged as a primary consideration. This course reviews the current state of hygiene, health and wellness expectations in commercial and public restrooms. Presenters will share quantitative insights from building industry and design professionals and explore emerging health and wellness certification standards, such as WELL Certified and GBAC STAR. Restroom touchpoint and problem areas will be reviewed, along with relevant solutions.
