Sean Browne Manager, Codes and Standards for Armstrong World Industries will cover the latest developments in material test standards and space performance standards. He will explain how these standards can help labs produce more accurate and reliable results that match the real-world conditions of space. He will also share some examples and best practices for applying these standards in different space projects.
At the end of the dynamic presentations, there will be a brief Q&A session to discuss key points from the webinar.

Sean Browne is the Senior Manager of the Research & Development group at Armstrong, where he leads a team of innovative engineers and scientists. He is responsible for the company’s Codes & Standards Program, which informs customers of the latest developments in acoustics and building regulations. He is also an active member of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA), ASTM International, and ASHRAE. He has engineering degrees from Florida State University and the University of Miami, and has written for various architectural and interior magazines. His research has been featured in the journals of the International Symposium on Room Acoustics and the Acoustical Society of America. | |
Charles Salter, PE has practiced acoustical engineering for over 50 years. With educational backgrounds in architecture, planning, engineering, and business, he has conducted a wide range of consulting in the areas of architectural acoustics, noise control engineering, and environmental noise impact. He has had project responsibility for various facility types including schools, recreation centers, offices, theaters, residences, hospitals, and civic buildings. Mr. Salter is a Continuing Lecturer at UC Berkeley College of Environmental Design and graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, B.S. Art and Design: Architecture Concentration, Minor: City Planning, Tufts University, B.S.C.E Structural Engineering, Minor: Economics. | |
