Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the Principles of Acoustical Design: Analyze and explore the fundamental principles related to interior acoustic design and
  2. Identify the Benefits of Modern Acoustical Solutions: Explore how acoustical strategies improve occupant comfort, productivity, and well-being in various building types
  3. Evaluate Acoustical Materials and Technologies: Gain insight into different materials, products, and design strategies that enhance acoustical performance without compromising aesthetic design goals.
  4. Incorporate Acoustics into the Design Process: Discover how to seamlessly integrate acoustical solutions from the conceptual phase through project completion, ensuring that spaces meet both aesthetic, sustainability, and functional goals.
  5. Meet Industry Acoustical Codes and Standards: Become familiar with key building codes, standards, and guidelines related to acoustics and how they influence design decisions.

This course is part of the Acoustics Academy

This CEU will review the principles of acoustic design and how they affect indoor environmental quality, improving occupant comfort and well-being by using and understanding modern acoustical solutions and performance. We’ll learn about incorporating acoustics into the design process from concept to completion to ensure function, aesthetics and sustainability goals are being met and understand how acoustical standards, codes and guidelines can influence design decisions.
