Adam McCarthy, PE, is a Principal and has been a member of the McNamara ▪ Salvia team in Boston for over 25 years. Mr. McCarthy possesses a detailed approach to structural design and project management. Adam is well-rounded in all aspects of complex structural systems, as well as respected throughout the industry for his experience and strong collaborative skills. In his spare time, he shares his expertise as a structural advisor to architectural thesis candidates at the Boston Architectural College.

Fariba Makooi, AIA, with about 35 years of Experience designing Residential and Mixed-use buildings in all 5 boroughs of New York City, brings an extensive experience in design and implementation of high-rise residential projects in New York City.

Fariba Makooi areas of expertise include Zoning Analysis, Programming for Hi-rise Residential Buildings, Managing Residential Projects from Schematic Design through Construction Administration Designing & Planning Residential / Hospitality projects, Managing HPD and HUD projects.

Her passion for building design and architecture began as a 15-year-old young woman travelling through Europe and she became fascinated with buildings, and how they shape the environment that we live in.

David Stockless, AIA, Associate Principal at ICON Architecture, is known for his proactive leadership and dedication to effective, respectful communication. His management style emphasizes punctuality, clear alignment, and open dialogue, ensuring clients, consultants, and his team remain in sync. With over a decade at ICON, Dave’s role has evolved from project-specific work to a broader focus on business management and development. A versatile generalist, he brings expertise across various project types and is involved throughout each project’s lifecycle, aiming to deliver both high-quality results and a positive client experience that supports lasting relationships. Outside of architecture, Dave is committed to his community, volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club and Habitat for Humanity. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys biking, beach outings, and exploring real estate.

Neil Wexler, PhD, PE, President, Founder and Chief Structural Engineer of Wexler Associates. Dr. Neil Wexler holds a B.E. degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, an M.E. degree in Civil Engineering from the City University of NY and a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from NYU Tandon. Dr. Wexler is responsible for the structural design of over 20 million SF of construction in and around NYC, including 10 million SF of residential construction. Dr. Wexler is the co-author of the Staggered Truss Design Guide, which was published by the American Institute of Steel Construction. Engineers worldwide utilize Dr. Neil Wexler’s experience and knowledge.
