Mark Fowler was first a licensed plastering contractor in 1983, became a technical consultant for three trade associations, has written two manuals on stucco, and has been a project manager for an architectural firm specializing in building envelopes. He has also served as an expert witness for wall and ceiling work in defect litigation trails. |
A national non-profit trade association incorporated in 1957 to educate, train and promote industry standards of lath and plaster, including cement based stucco. The SMA is made up of manufacturers, dealers, contractors and consultants. SMA is an organizational member of ASTM and ACI. The SMA is recognized as the national voice of stucco industry regarding acceptable industry practices for designing and installing stucco.
