Recruit and Retain High Performance Professionals  

We work in the construction industry, yet farming is critical to our continued development within the industry as we grow into leadership and become responsible for harvesting and cultivating diverse talent. How can we do this in a competitive market? Strategies to plant seeds and create opportunities for a fruitful harvest will be shared. This session will prepare you to build excitement around what you do and the vision you’re bringing to life. To create a visible energy that people can see and feel. And consider how to leverage the 7 degrees of separation to connect with future talent. Sometimes easier said than done. There are a few habits that tend to hold women back that can hamper our recruitment efforts. To address these potentially inherent limitations, we will discuss: Ways to claim our achievements that can feel authentic; How to leverage relationships without feeling like a burden; and How to enlist allies to help on our journey in terms of recruitment and retention. Key strategies to help with the retention of high performance teams, and specifically high performance women, will be discussed. Strategies around building trust, avoiding groupthink, and creating engagement and leadership opportunities will be an integral part of this session as it is the yin to the yang of recruitment.
