LEARNING OBJECTIVES
  1. Explain the fundamental principles of porous paving systems and how they facilitate stormwater infiltration.
  2. Evaluate the role of porous pavers in Low Impact Development (LID), including stormwater management and urban heat island mitigation.
  3. Compare different types of porous paving systems based on performance, maintenance, aesthetics, and installation requirements.
  4. Select and apply appropriate porous paving solutions based on site-specific conditions, while meeting stormwater regulations and contributing to green building certifications such as LEED and SITES.
