Building Resilience from the Roof Down

Concrete Tile Roofing for Steep-Slope Applications

Sponsored by Eagle Roofing Products | Presented by Aaron Crabtree and David Vallas

Live Webinar Airing on November 3, 2026 at 02:00 PM ET

Concrete roof tile systems allow architects and building professionals to combine architectural design with durability, weather protection, and long-term performance. Achieving these goals requires considering the roof as a complete system, beginning with design and specification decisions made well before installation. This webinar examines concrete roof tile composition, manufacturing, profiles, and applications, along with the key components and details that support a high-performing steep-slope roof assembly. Participants will explore how underlayment, battens, attachment, flashing, ventilation, drainage, and finishing details work together, and how climate, roof geometry, regional requirements, and environmental exposure should inform specification and installation decisions.

The webinar also explores the role of concrete tile roofing in resilient building design, including performance against wildfire, hail, high winds, snow, extreme heat, moisture, and other environmental hazards. Participants will compare concrete tile with asphalt shingles, clay tile, and metal roofing, considering factors such as severe-weather performance, durability, maintenance, repairability, and service life. Practical installation strategies and project examples will demonstrate how thoughtful material selection, system design, and detailing can help protect occupants and property, reduce the risk of premature roof failure, and extend roof service life.
