This webinar will provide an overview of the requirements contained in Chapter 15 of the International Building Code for low slope roofing systems. It will provide detailed focus on wind uplift requirements and how to locate roofing assemblies that meet these requirements. Specifically, a listing service program called DORA (the directory of roofing assemblies) will be described. The purpose of DORA is to provide designers, code officials, roof consultants, contractors, and other interested parties with a database of roofing assemblies tested in accordance with standards referenced as part of Chapter 15 of the International Building Code (IBC). Currently, the listing service covers wind uplift only, with the intent to include other requirements contained in Chapter 15, such as fire ratings, impact resistance and edge systems as future enhancements to the database. Manufacturers of non-single ply roofing assemblies will also be invited to list systems in the database at a later date.
