This course examines window performance ratings and explains how they can impact and improve the built environment and performance of a building. We will also discuss what criteria must be met in order for windows to contribute to various standards, codes and voluntary practices for performance and energy efficiency. Additionally we’ll discuss high performance window technologies that increase energy efficiency and sustainability, as well as introduce the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) program and discuss how it helps window manufacturers meet building energy code requirements.
